Senior Data Analyst

Job Description

• Understanding of key principles of data management and stewardship, organize and manage data assets and their related data policies and business rules, and create policies, processes, and procedures associated with governance initiatives.
• Work closely with business users to understand their data requirements and the insights they need to make data-driven decisions.
• Work with solution architects, data owners, data stewards, policy developers, process and workflow analysts, data scientists, and business analysts to outline As is a state of the current product data lifecycle.
• Ability to Analyse the current state of the data architectures of various systems ??software components, technologies, data models and business processes
• 10 years of experience in consulting and data management practices also exposure to governance office activities in large organizations.
• Experience and understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
• Experience interacting at the senior executives and leadership level in a consultative advisory.
• Understanding of data quality and data management solutions.
• Experience implementing end to end Data lineage traceability, Data classification, and other features
• Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
• Create a checklist as part of governance models, including assets, relationships, domains.
• Define workflow, security and integration requirements and dashboard and reporting requirements;
• Document data management artifacts ??data models, diagrams, ETL source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams;
• Propose and enforce data management best practices, data standards, and data management policies and rules across different functional areas of an organization.
• Analyze, review and document the As-is data models.
• Ability to extract information from various documents, connect the dots between them and outline the inferences in a document for respective areas.
• Analysis of data with the help of SQL queries.
• Understanding of complete data lifecycle with industry best practices.
• Leverage the knowledge of retail and manufacturing domains in outlining business processes from the compliance perspective.
• Understand business rules and compliance requirements for storage of data, archiving, backup, recovery, and transformation
• Evaluate rules for mastering data across key data sets in the as-is model
• Develop an end-to-end vision and model for how data will flow through while addressing current efficiencies.
• Should be able to elicit discussion to capture required information from SME discussions for documentation.
